Winged keel, shallow draft, trailer-able sailboat with unique mast stepping and mast lowering system which does not require the use of a crane.
The hull is built with triaxial, uni-directional fiberglass using Isophthalic Gelcoat and vinyl ester resin that protects from osmosis blistering.
Fully battened main sail on a rotating carbon fiber mast, sail stack, lazy-jackets and a drifter jib for light air sailing.
A spacious, deep cockpit and dodger offers protection in any weather.
Stainless steel arch supporting VHF antenna, a steaming/anchor light and a 40W solar panel.
The boat is equipped with a Tohatsu SailPro, longshaft, 6hp, 4 stroke outboard motor that provides 12V output for charging batteries.
There are two 12L fuel tanks in a secured cockpit compartment.
Interior is rather spacious for a boat of this size with sitting headroom on port and starboard pilot berths. All foam cushions replaced in 2015.
Forward there is a 6' 6" V-berth with 4" thick foam cushions and spacious storage compartments under. There a cushioned insert with port-a-potty below.
The aft portion of the V-berth on the starboard side hinges up and opens the electrical distribution panel, battery monitor, 12V receptacle and a box for storage. The electrical system has been completely refurbished to conform with ABYC standards and consists of two batteries, battery switch, solar charging regulator, port and starboard LED bunk lights.
Aft there are 6' pilot berths also with 4" foam cushions. The spacing under the pilot berths is filled with a closed cell polyurethane foam that makes the boat practically unsinkable.
On the port side bulkhead there is a hinged panel that holds a Standard Horizon VHF radio with distress call switch linked to a Lowrance Elite-4HDI chart plotter, depth sounder and fish finder. This panel swings into the companion way opening when underway.
The trailer has new wiring, wheel bearings, winch, hitch coupling and support wheel.
This boat is suited to single-handed sailing. It is very stable, feels, handles and performs like a much larger boat.
